University Board determines the number of students to be admitted each year for the postgraduate studies as per the recommendations of the Deanship of Graduate Studies Council, and suggestions of Department and College Council. In addition to the conditions enumerated in the 15th article of the unified law organizing the graduate studies in Saudi universities.
General admission requirements for applying to non-fee master's programs:
- The applicant must be a Saudi, or an official scholarship for postgraduate studies if he is a non-Saudi.
- The applicant must have a university degree from a Saudi university, or from another recognized university, with proof of the equivalency of the certificate from the Ministry of Education.
- To be of good conduct and behavior, and medically fit.
- To submit two scientific recommendations from professors who have taught him previously.
- Approval of his reference to study if he is an employee.
- The applicant must pass any test or personal interview (if any), and to the degree determined by the scientific department.
- For programs that require a general aptitude test for undergraduates; The results of the university's general abilities will not be accepted after five years from the date of the test.
- For programs that require an English language test; English language test results provided by private or unaccredited institutes are not accepted.
- For programs that require an English language test; English language tests will not be accepted after two years for TOEFL and IELTS, and three years for competencies from the date of the test.
- The applicant shall be subject to the criteria for the differentiation conducted among the applicants.
In addition to the general admission requirements, the following are required:
Master in Computer Science (Coursework and Thesis)
- The applicant must have a regular bachelor’s degree with a grade of no less than (very good) in the following disciplines: (Computer Science - Information Systems - Information Technology - Software Engineering), and other related disciplines may be accepted after the approval of the scientific department.
- Pass the general aptitude test for university students with a score of no less than (70%).
- Pass the STEP English test with a score of no less than (80) or its equivalent in other language tests (click here).

Master in Information Systems (Coursework and Thesis)
- The applicant must have a regular bachelor’s degree with a grade of no less than (very good) in the following disciplines: (Computer Science - Information Systems - Information Technology - Software Engineering), and other related disciplines may be accepted after the approval of the scientific department.
- Pass the general aptitude test for university students with a score of no less than (70%).

- Pass the general aptitude test for university students with a score of no less than (70%).
