His Excellency the University President Inaugurates 8 Electronic Services
His Excellency King Khalid University President prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami , inaugurated on Sunday morning 8 electronic services created by the Information Technology Administration at King Khalid University.
The supervisor of the General iT Administration and the General Cyber Security Dr. Mohammad Al Saqir explained that the services that were inaugurated included : chatbot which will automatically answer questions and inquiries for the members and visitors of the university website, V3 for the college websites system which allows easy access and the ability to add diverse and more comprehensive content, the OSCE (Clinical Exams) service.
Al-Sager, added that the university transportation service was also launched , which provides the possibility of transporting students and facilitating their access from home to the university and vice versa with an appropriate means of transportation that includes safety elements. The services also included the permit service which allow university employees to request an entry permit for university facilities outside official working hours and include showing current entry permits, showing previous entry permits, requesting an entry permit, and displaying the entry permit within the MyKKU application.
The launched services also included the “Platforms” service, which allows the parties to request a service and follow the progress of it in all stages . Al Fra’aa map is another service launched by the iT administration , which allows members to view the campus buildings, facilities and users using the kku app categorised by color and location. Finally the “ Nick name “ service, a service that enables all university employees to create an additional mail address, through which emails can be received; And access to the mail is through the primary user name.
It is worth noting that the General Administration of Information Technology is one of the model administrations at the university and has achieved multiple awards, the latest of which is the Distinguished Management Award (first place) at the university level, the WSIS Award in 2020 . The iT administration data center was granted the uptime institute certificate, where it achieved tire 3 standards.
