EduTech team won first place in the Eduthon 2
I am Hassan Hassan Al-Sheikh (one of the graduates of the College of Computer Science, specializing in Computer Engineering), and I will share with you the success story of me and my team (Eng. Amjad Osama Muhanna and Eng. Fahd Yahya Al-Qahtani, who are also graduates of the College of Computer Science, and the student Maha Nasser Asiri, a master’s student in Computer Science and Eng. Muhammad Osama Muhanna, an artificial intelligence engineer. We created an integrated team with all the expertise to participate in the Education Innovation Hackathon, the second edition, which was organized by the Deanship of Electronic Services. We named the team EduTech, and we gathered our ideas about one of the problems facing the education sector and developed a creative idea to become a successful project at the end of this hackathon. It's called StudySnap.
The idea is: Creating a smart platform based on artificial intelligence, which we call “StudySnap”. This platform is designed to transform educational challenges into useful and fun learning experiences using texts. The primary goal of the platform is to enable students to review and understand study materials in a highly efficient and innovative way.
Main features of the platform:
1- Create interactive review cards (snaps):
The platform analyzes study materials uploaded by students using artificial intelligence.
Interactive review cards are created containing multiple choice or short questions.
These cards help students assess their understanding of the material in a fun and interactive way.
Enhances the active learning process through interaction with educational content.
2- Summary of study contents:
The platform provides a tool to summarize the study materials uploaded by students.
Clear and focused summaries are produced that facilitate the study process before exams.
This tool allows students to understand the main points of the material quickly and efficiently.
Summaries help improve time management and organize the learning process.
3- Explanation of study contents:
The platform provides a tool to explain the academic subjects uploaded by students.
Focused explanations of the most important key points are provided in the file with a specific word count.
This tool allows students to gain a deeper understanding of academic subjects.
It promotes full understanding of the content and helps overcome educational difficulties.
4- Community service for people of determination (Ibsar):
Through it, the learner can upload an image and convert texts into audio.
This service contributes to supporting students with visual disabilities.
It allows them to access educational content easily and conveniently.
This service enhances the comprehensiveness of the platform and provides equal opportunities for all students.
Target group:
The platform targets students from all educational levels.
It aims to improve the learning experience for every student regardless of their level of academic achievement.
It focuses on providing innovative tools that help enhance students’ understanding of academic content and achieve the best academic results.
It seeks to support students with special needs by providing customized services that meet their special needs.
Expected benefits:
Improving students' efficiency and benefit from study time.
Enhancing interaction and interest in educational content.
Providing personalized educational solutions that meet the needs of each student.
Supporting students of determination and providing a comprehensive educational environment.
Future vision:
We aspire to expand the platform to include additional features that enhance the learning experience.
We seek to cooperate with educational institutions to adopt the platform and use it on a large scale.
We aim for “StudySnap” to be the ideal solution for every student seeking to improve his academic performance.
After we presented the idea and after judging, we won first place among more than 150 participants and 30 ideas.
